Viewing her job as just a job, Kenya Taylor knew she wanted more and realized owning a franchise would give her a sense of fulfillment, as well as freedom. In 2017, Kendra will join the ranks of Express Employment Professionals as a Franchisee as she opens the Towson, MD, location.
Building on her experience of 10 years in the corporate world will help put Kenya on the right path as a Franchisee. Her corporate career began before she even graduated college in the Accounts Receivables Department for a large IT staffing company. After earning a masters degree in international management, Kenya worked as a financial analyst for one of the largest health systems before being recruited to join a health care staffing company in the same role.
Throughout her corporate career, Kenya has consistently been in pursuit of a challenge. She enjoys thinking her way through situations and knowing that today might not be like yesterday.
“She is a determined individual who is approaching this with a ‘failure is not an option’ attitude,” said Brook Wise, Senior Franchise Executive. “Kenya is extremely relational and is also driven by helping others.”
Kenya believes owning an Express franchise will allow her to leave a legacy. She has already been giving back to the community and building her legacy by administering a family scholarship at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD.
