Eric Plemmons has been a client of Express Employment for more than 10 years and the exemplary service he experienced led him to explore business ownership with the company. Eric and his wife, Leslie, are now set to open an Express franchise in Johnston County/Goldsboro, NC.
Eric is a performance-driven professional with more than 20 years of experience as a human resources and operations management leader. He holds an associate’s degree in applied science-accounting and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Eric also obtained a certificate in human resources management, as well as a master’s degree in human resources. Most recently, he served as the Director for Coca-Cola Bottling in Durham, NC.
Leslie completed her associate’s degree in applied science and worked several years for an attorney before joining the Department of Social Services as a child support agent and eventually, a supervisor. She then earned a bachelor’s degree in business education and taught business and marketing classes for 14 years before receiving her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction for business and marketing. Leslie is currently the Instructional Management Coordinator in Career and Technical Education for Wake County Public School System.
“Eric can relate to the needs of other hiring professionals since he has the unique perspective of having been a client,” said Dan Gunderson, Regional Franchising Executive. “He is very familiar with our company and knows that Express has the resources and knowledge to support franchise owners in their local markets.”
Eric and Leslie have been married for nearly 30 years and have two sons, Zachary, 26, and Nicholas, 22. The couple enjoys spending time with family and attending church. Leslie has served in several leadership roles there, including as a Sunday school teacher and small group leader.
