Our place on the list is determined by data that our research team compiles and submits for the rankings. It combines voluntary reports and public data, including the franchises’ most recent disclosure documents and Securities and Exchange Commission filings. This process takes several months and includes information such as the five-year sales history, Top 10 lists and industry subcategories. Data is then reconciled to ensure accuracy and that all estimates are based on a solid sales formula.
